About ITMJ

Even if "you've always done it this way", it's almost certain that there's a better way.
(And, maybe not - we'll tell you that too.)

We have deep experience in the technologies you use every day, and for decades we have been helping businesses of all size - from 3 person law firms to Fortune 50 companies - optimize their time and their investments in technology. We're steeped in Microsoft technology, so if you are using Microsoft Office, have an old Windows server running in a closet, or just wonder why you have to keep logging in over and over to stuff all day, we can help. We'll make sure you're squeezing every ounce out of your investment.

Specialty Areas

There are a lot more, but some of them are mind-numbingly boring so we'll save them for a conversation, if they even come up. But having worked as systems engineers, software developers, devops engineers, and cloud solution architects (at Microsoft), we've probably seen your issue before.

Principal - Brett Hacker

ITMJ Principal, Brett Hacker Since the 90's, Brett has worked as a technology professional for both large and small businesses. From a small business technology consultancy he founded in Arkansas, he then served as CIO of a healthcare startup that implemented one of the first SaaS solutions for payment processing in the payer/provider space. He was an invited speaker at the 3rd HIPAA Summit West in 2003, discussing payment processing options around the HIPAA 835 EDI transaction.

Later, he and his family moved to Los Angeles where he worked as Director of Software Development for Live Nation Entertainment, there successfully architecting and implementing a large internal line of business application born in the Azure cloud. In 2014, he was recruited by Microsoft to join as one of their first Cloud Solution Architects, charged with assisting a select group of businesses to identify workloads that can successfully leverage the Microsoft Azure public cloud. He then joined the Identity engineering team as a Senior Program Manager in Redmond, where he developed novel implementations for modern cloud authentication integrations with legacy login processes. From there, he was recruited to Nashville to serve as Vice President of Software Development for The SSI Group, a healthcare clearinghouse headquartered in Mobile, Alabama. He then returned to Microsoft as a member of the Cloud Solution Architect Customer Success Unit, working with a team of national architects and providing technical depth for cloud implementations across the US.

Microsoft Certified Expert Through his career, Brett has worked as a systems engineer, Microsoft Certified Trainer, Microsoft Certified Cloud Architech, and software developer focused on the Microsoft technology stack. His key areas of technical focus include collaboration with Microsoft Teams, cloud (modern) identity, web application development, infrastructure automation/DevOps, database technologies, and storage.

Strength of the Ox, LLC

Church 365 In addition to providing consulting services, we are also engaged in developing Church 365, a tool to enable churches to get the absolute most out of their Office 365 and Microsoft Azure subscriptions. For churches and other non-profit organizations, these services are available as free grants from Microsoft. Churches typically lack the deep resources necessary to optimize their usage of information technology, and the pandemic highlighted many of those gaps. With Church 365, we aim to fill that gap by providing customized services and processes that not only streamline the operational processes within a church, but often achieve serious cost-savings due to the elimination of paid services that are redundant with those offered for free within Microsoft non-profit grant.
